Inspirational Australian Women 2017 - Book

 

  1. Copyright: Carmen Jenner and Clare McAlaney.  Your article may be used by you on web and media/press releases, so long as attribution is given.

  2. Open to Australian business women aged 18 or over.

  3. Entries will be accepted from nominees, however, the story must be about a woman, and she must consent to her story being submitted and the terms and conditions of the competition.

  4. The entrant must still be living.

  5. Submissions close at midnight on 14 January 2016  (the “Closing Date”). 

  6. Submissions must be authentic. Fact-checking may occur, as legitimacy of the entrant is the publisher's responsibility. However, any false claims that lead to financial loss of the publisher or other contributors will be at the cost of the entrant.

  7. Entries must not contain anything defamatory, obscene, illegal or otherwise inappropriate. The publisher has final say on all content. 

  8. All contributors and sponsors licence Creatavision Publishing Pty Ltd (publishers of the book) and Business Women Australia a worldwide royalty-free perpetual licence to edit, publish and use each entry in any and all media (including print and online) for publicity and news purposes relating to this competition. The Publisher and/or Business Women Australia is/are under no obligation to publish any entries however obligate to publish stories where a) the contributor is a member of BWA and b) the contributor's story is published in the 2017 book. 

  9. There are no prizes for entry.

  10. Entry does not guarantee your story will be published. Any deposit will be fully refunded if the selection panel determine the story is not suitable.

  11. All valid entries received before the Closing Date will be reviewed by a sub-panel who will use Criteria (set out in clause 9) short-list up to 35 entries.  Successful contributors will be notified during the week commencing 19 January 2017. The decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into. 

  12. The criteria are: 

    • Inspiration

    • Insight 

    • Powerful expression

    • Advocacy for Women in business - a desire to help others and inspire and motivate success

  13. Contributors receive (inclusions and exclusions):

    • $450 toward an annual membership with Business Women Australia, commencing 1 March 2017

    • Full professional editing and interview valued at $600 up to 1,000 words

    • Five full pages in the book

    • 10 copies of the paperback book with inside flaps, UV varnish and embossing, RRP $29.95 each

    • Ability to purchase additional copies of the book at wholesale price (less 40% of retail) - volume discount of 20+ copies @ 60% of retail

    •  Their story featured on www.creatavisionpublishing.com and www.businesswomenAustralia.com.au websites and associated social media

    • Press opportunities with both affiliated companies 

    • eFlip book and PDF of their story for PR use, containing cover, inside front and back matter and story

    • Photography is not included - contributor to supply, or a photographic session can be arranged with one of our professional photographers. Photographs supplied must be minimum 300dpi. Publisher reserves right to request photograph if the image is not suitable. Images are printed in B&W.

    • Participation in the Business Women Australia launch on 8 March 2017 in Perth, group photograph and acknowledgment as an Inspirational Woman during the event (ticket cost and travel at expense of contributor/sponsor)

    • Social media support via Facebook, Instagram and web-media from both Creatavision and BWA

  14. Sponsors receive:

    • 2pp spread (can be combination of text and image x 1) in section entitled "Spotlight"

    • Professionally written work valued at $350

    • Banner rights on website of both organisers

    • Logo on all Creatavision book advertising

    • Acknowledgment in all advertising of the book

    • Five copies of the book and ability to purchase more at wholesale price as per point 14

  15. You agree that you have full rights to publish any image supplied. Name of photographer is required for credits.

  16. Winning entrants agree to participate in reasonable publicity relating to the book, including but not limited to having their name published with their entry. 

  17. The publisher reserves the right to make an amendment to terms and conditions if circumstances deem it to be necessary.

  18. Creatavision Publishing Pty Ltd reserves the right to cancel or delay the publication if there are insufficient entries or other circumstances arise beyond the control of the Publisher.
